Seniors are invited to join in community with friends and neighbors to learn, celebrate, grieve together. Seniors meet every other Tuesday in the Center. Future dates: 4/28/26, 5/12/26, 5/19/26, 6/9/26, 6/23/26.
Grief support provides a space for emotional support and healing for those living with lost and grief. Future event dates: April 25, May 23, June 27, July 25, August 22, September 26, October 24, November 21, and December 12.
Come move, groove, and connect with neighbors from across the community! Originally created for seniors, this fun and welcoming group is now open to all ages. Led by experienced instructor Kathy Johnson, it’s a great way to stay active, enjoy good music, and build community. Fridays at 12:45 PM in the MLK Center Dance Studio. This is the last day of classes for students who attend IPS schools throughout Indianapolis. More specifically, this will be the last school for students attending James Whitcomb Riley IPS 43. And it's our students' last day of afterschool programming before summer camp—more information will come soon.
The MLK Center will be closed in recognition of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25, 2026. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
