Community Programs
When you’re having a hard time making ends meet, we're the meeting place you’ve been looking for. Our community programs grew out of the direct needs of our members. We can help you with transportation, housing, utility payments, and even event planning. We also know that hard times take their toll on our home lives, which is why we also offer programs in anger management based on the teachings of Dr. King.

We can all use extra support sometimes. If you’re looking for a hand, you can find it here. You must live within the MLK Center's boundaries to be eligible. Neighbors must reside within the MLK Center Service BoundaryButler Tarkington, Meridian Kessler, Mapleton Fall Creek, or Crown Hill (Boundaries: North/56th Street | South/29th Street | East Monon/Fall Creek | West/MLK/Michigan Rd).

Senior Programs That Create Space for Community
Join us for a fun and informative Seniors Program twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesdays!
This program is a great way to stay connected with your community, learn new things, and have some fun!

Everyone needs help. It takes strength to ask for it. If you are struggling with motivation, relationship issues, or emotional distress, our licensed healthcare professionals are here to listen and offer support. We work with you to develop strategies for identifying the root causes that underlie recurring problems. You’ll come away with personalized strategies for effecting lasting change in your life. Sessions are available for individuals, couples, and families. And, of course, all of our appointments are private. No one will share the details of your conversation without your consent. You’re in control of your information. Thanks to grant funding and donations, your appointments will be completely free. No proof of insurance necessary. Counseling services are provided through a partnership with All Things 2 All People.

We all grieve differently. But healing is our shared goal. If you are experiencing a loss and are looking for a place where you can talk without worrying about being judged, we’re here. Our aim is to help you find strength and peace as you come to terms with life transitions. We offer:
While we can’t bring back a loved one, we can be there for each other.

Celebrate milestones and plan for the next. Gather your group together at MLK Center.
