On Friday, June 5, our staff headed out into the community to volunteer at a tabling spot during the Eiteljorg Museum's Free First Friday Block Party — a free, all-ages celebration with live music, performances, lawn games, and hands-on activities.

For us, showing up at events like this is one of the most meaningful ways we build the Beloved Community. It means meeting neighbors where they are, sharing what the Center has to offer, and helping families feel a little more connected to the people and places around them.

There's something special about a warm summer evening spent among neighbors — kids chasing each other across the lawn, music drifting through the air, strangers becoming familiar faces. Those are the moments that knit a community together, and we're proud to be part of them.

Thank you to the Eiteljorg Museum for the invitation and for creating spaces where everyone is welcome. We'll keep showing up — at block parties, festivals, and gatherings across the neighborhoods we serve.
